The Komodo Expedition is a 7-night adventure through the pristine wilderness and waters of Indonesia’s Komodo National Park. The experience is capped by a 2-night stay at Amanwana, a luxury tented wilderness hideaway on Moyo Island. The Komodo National Park is a World Heritage Site in which guests are escorted by park rangers to view Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. Day 01 / Sail from Labuan Bajo to Sabolan Island in Komodo National Park for diving and snorkelling. Cruise on to Sabayor Island for sunset and overnight anchorage.

Day 02 / Dive or snorkel Sabayor Kecil wall. After lunch, snorkel or dive Tatawa Island’s colourful reefs. Late afternoon cruise south to Loh Buaya off Rinca Island for overnight anchorage.

Day 03 / Early morning three-hour trek on Rinca Island to view Komodo dragons and other wildlife. Lunch aboard Amanikan while cruising to Komodo Island. On arrival, stroll ‘Pink Beach’ and snorkel or dive its reefs.

Day 04 / Hike on Komodo Island accompanied by park ranger to spot Komodo dragons and other wildlife. Bargain with locals for traditional handicrafts. Lunch aboard Amanikan while cruising the Komodo Straits to the northern Gili Islands for exceptional diving and snorkelling or a stroll on deserted beaches.

Day 05 / Dive Crystal or Castle Rock, world class dive sites. Cruise around the north point of Komodo Island to the pristine reefs of Batu Moncho Bay. After lunch, Amanikan will begin its overnight cruise back to Moyo. Enjoy amazing views of the sun setting behind the twin peaks of Sangeang Volcano.

Day 06 / Early morning arrival at Amanwana. Guests can choose to hike to jungle pools, dive Amanwana’s house reef or enjoy other watersports on offer, sunbathe by the fresh water dipping pool or simply relax.

Day 07 / Day and night at Amanwana.

Merpati Airline’s flight from Bali to Labuan Bajo departs from Denpasar every Tuesday and Thursday at 8:20am and takes approximately 90 minutes. Flight schedules are subject to change.

Transfer from Amanwana to Bali

A leisure cruise takes guests from Moyo Island to Sumbawa. Kura Kura’s twin engine Cessna 402B departs from Sumbawa every Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday at 12:30pm. The flight time to Bali is approximately 55 minutes. Flight schedules are subject to change.
