DestinationsMabul Water Bungalow is a fabulous floating dive-resort situated at Mabul Island overlooking the world-known Sipadan Island which is 15-minutes away by speedboat.
There are fifteen (15) stilted wooden-type bungalows entirely built over water offering sheer comfort. Each bungalow exquisitely furnished with contemporary decor, equipped with remote control air-conditioner, ceiling fan, private bathroom-hot/cold shower and toilet, spacious private balcony offer panoramic vistas of blue sea, colour TV with satellite channels, mini bar and in-room safety box.
Facilities includes a large and airy restaurant for dining, a souvenirs shop selling variety of t-shirts, accessories and gifts, a business center with internet service, a dive center and an office taking care all the guests registration, billings and spa.
Enjoy the luxuries of Mabul Water Bungalows and make use of the available facilities at the nearby Sipadan Mabul Resort (under joint ownership) with Jacuzzi, massage, pool, sea kayaks and beach volleyball.
The dive centre boats will collect you everyday for two dives at Sipadan, with a third dive back in Mabul or Kapalai Island. Nitrox is available for those qualified to use it, and if you need yet more diving, then there’s unlimited complimentary shore dives at some of the favourite Mabul dive sites, such as Froggy Lair, or direct from the resorts own jetty, where you find an excellent artificial reef.

Important Notes
Entry Permit to Sipadan Island
- Please be informed that all daily entry to dive or visit to Sipadan Island will be subject to approval by the Sabah Parks Management, the authorities in charge of issuing the entry permits. The total number of divers or visitors allowed to visit Sipadan island is now restricted to 120 persons per day.
- The fee for Entry Permit to Sipadan Island is RM 40.00 per person per day for divers, non-divers, visitors and children. This entry permit fee has to be paid on the spot, at the resort if the approval is obtained. Please take note that the permit to Sipadan Island is NOT GUARANTEED.
- However, should the entry permit to Sipadan Island is not been approved, we will offer alternative diving at nearby islands such as Si Amil, Mataking, Ligitan, Kapalai or Mabul where there is no restrictions.

- The total number of divers or visitors allowed to visit Sipadan island is now restricted to 120 persons per day. Visits are allowed on the basis of the Entry Permit, which the Sabah Parks Management is in control and responsible for.
- The diving in Sipadan Island is limited due to this restriction. This Entry Permit fee has to be paid on the spot, in the resort if the approval is obtained. Please take note that the permit to Sipadan Island is NOT GUARANTEED.
- Should the Entry Permit to Sipadan Island not be approved, we will offer alternative diving at nearby islands such as Si Amil, Roach Reef, Kapalai or Mabul where there is no restrictions. Dive sites and diving schedule will be arranged at the discretion of the resort management.
- The Sipadan Island Entry Permit costs RM40 per person per day.
