Diving the Best of Thailand
onboard the S/Y Oriental Siren

The S/Y Oriental Siren operates in the Andaman Islands from December to April, sailing from Phuket.

Hin Daeng • Hin Muang • Koh Racha Noi • Koh Ha Yai • Koh Bon • Koh Tachai & Richelieu Rock

Diving in Thailand is as popular as ever and our 10-night liveaboard dive safaris take you the best of the west coast of Thailand and into Burma. Dive sites range from sloping reefs and rocky outcroppings, huge granite boulders covered with soft corals and shallow coral gardens.

S/Y Oriental-Siren - luxury liveaboard in a class all its own
The SY Oriental Siren is a traditional twin mast junk built from the finest Asian teak and ironwood.

It is this variety that attracts the abundant marine life that make diving in Thailand so appealing. Several species of shark can still be found patrolling the waters of Phi Phi and the Similans, and manta rays are a common sight, whilst whale sharks make an occasional appearance. There are plenty of smaller creatures too and divers will discover several types of anemone fish on each dive, different species of ghost pipefish and seahorses as well as a fantastic array of molluscs.

Although most of the diving locations in the region are now well known there are plenty of new dive sites waiting to be explored.

On this luxury liveaboard you will dive at many different kinds of dive sites and see some of the best diving Thailand has to offer – ranging from sloping reefs, to rocky outcroppings & giant granite boulders. After visiting at least eight different Similan diving sites, the Similan liveaboard leaves the Islands and sails towards Koh Bon and then Koh Tachai, both of which are also famous for whale shark and manta ray sightings. Then onwards to one of the top dive sites in the world, Richelieu Rock, a mass of giant submerged pinnacles situated in the middle of the ocean.

After our underwater explorations of Richelieu Rock, we will sail westwards to the Surin Islands – very few liveaboard dive boats venture as far north as we do, so you are likely to have dive sites to yourself. Koh Torinla boasts the best dive spot in the whole of the Surin Islands where sightings of humphead parrotfish, blacktips and even marlin fish are regular.

However, if we start our adventure at the Surin Islands, we will visit all these dive sites in a reverse order from north to south, taking in the best diving Thailand can offer.
