MV Telita is one the most luxurious dive charter vessels of her size operating in Papua New Guinea. Since purchased in 2003 MV Telita has undergone several extensive refits and is now very, very comfortable.

She sleeps 10 guests in 05 renovated cabins, and now have modern well appointed ensuite bathrooms & W/C. The air conditioning is ducted & individually controlled, hair dryers and dual voltage power supplies are installed throughout.

MV Telita

MV Telita
Purpose-built by its original owners Bob and Dinah Halstead, the MV Telita has cruised the waters of Papua New Guinea for years, introducing many international divers to the wonderful diving in PNG. The vessel is maintained to international survey standards and has was fully refitted in October 2003. Yearly subsequent refits keep the MV Telita in fantastic shape.

MV Telita has 5 guest cabins accommodating a maximum of 10 divers. On board there are 3 decks - the wheelhouse is located on the upper deck, together with a nice sundeck and BBQ & bar area. The crew cabins and facilities are on the upper deck too.

On the Main Deck is a Deluxe Double Cabin, the saloon, galley and the very spacious dive deck with camera table with a secure camera locking cabinet, charging and camera washing facilities. 01 shower and toilet is located on the main deck as well as an extra shower on the dive deck to rinse yourself down after each dive.

The Lower Deck houses 4 Deluxe Cabins all with ver spacious private bathrooms and individually controlled air condition.

Larger deluxe beds, new lighting and extra drawer storage, additional sound proofing make guests feel that much more at home. The saloon has been renovated and modernized keeping client comfort and practicality in mind. The multimedia system and LCD flat screen television is a big plus for movie nights or just viewing and sharing the shots of the day.

Main Deck Master Double Cabin
This cabin has a dedicated double beds and en ensuite bathroom and WC. It is air-conditioned, has a hair dryer and has 120 and 240 Volt AC power console. A little wardrobe and ample shelving provides space to make yourself at home during the cruise. The big window provides good views.

4 Lower Deck Deluxe Cabins
These new deluxe cabins are local in the Lower Deck. 2 of them have a wide lower bunk and a standard top bunk and canned be used as double or twin configuration. The two are genuine twin cabins with even sized upper and lower bunks - ideal for individuals sharing. They are well siuted for couples or singles. They have large ensuite bathrooms and WC. They are air-conditioned, have a hair dryer and 120 and 240 Volt AC power consoles.

Dive Sites

MV Telita visits the Milne Bay and Tufi from late October to May. As an expedition dive cruiser Telita usually visits more remote dive locations in the region like the Louisiades, the Trobiand and Ferguson Islands regional sites and the Simsim region.
Early June the MV Telita moves to northern PNG offering excursions in Walindi, Rabaul and Kavieng.

Situated on the main deck is our premium cabin. It has a double bed and an ensuite bathroom. It is air-conditioned, has a hair dryer and has a 120 and 240 volt power console.

The Deluxe Combination, Cabins #1 & #2
Situated on the lower deck these cabins have a small double bed & a single upper bunk with ensuite bathrooms.

The Deluxe Twin, Cabins #3 & #4
Also situated on the lower deck these cabins have 2 single bunks with ensuite bathrooms.
