Sipadan Water Village is located on the island of Mabul. This small island surrounded by sandy beaches and perched on the northwest corner of a larger 200-hecter reef is notably known as one of the world’s best “muck-diving” sites. The reef is on the edge of a continental shelf and the seabed surrounding the reef slopes out to 75 to 100 feet deep. Mabul is arguably one of the riches single destination for exotic small marine life anywhere in the world.
Flamboyant cuttlefish, blue-ringed octopus, mimic octopus and bobtail squids are just a few of the numerous types of cephalapods found. The sight of harlequin shrimp feeding on sea stars and boxer crabs waving their tiny anemone pom-poms are just a small example of the endless species of crustaceans. The list seemingly endless, it would be easier to list the species not found at Mabul - crazy critters are in abundance at this magical macro site!
Sipadan Water Village offers you the excitement of superb diving along with comfort and relaxation. The village, fringed by beautiful corals, pearl white sands and amazing marine beauty, is the epitome of class and luxury.
The entire resort is built over water on stilts made of Belian Wood commonly called ironwood, laid in certain points so as to minimise damage to the existing reef. In its design, Sipadan Water Village has achieved near utopia in its over-the-water layout, splendid water cottage accommodations with flowered sidewalks, wonderfully prepared Asian and Continental cuisine, and impeccable and personable service.

Children 03 to 12 years are charged 50% of the applicable Non-diver’s rate provided they do not occupy separate rooms. Infants 02 years and below are charged 10% of the applicable Non-diver’s rate provided they do not occupy separate rooms. Age is taken as at the commencement of journey.

*NOTE
- Entering the environs of Sipadan Island requires a Permit which may not be approved on days where the daily quota has been exceeded
- Approval is made known only one day before, therefore we are not be able to tell in advance if your Permit is approved
- Approved Permit will be charged RM40.00 per day, and can be paid by the guest directly to the resort
Land and boat Transfers
- Land transfers from Tawau airport to Semporna Jetty takes about 75 minutes
- Boat transfers from Semporna Jetty to the Resort by speed-boat takes about 40 minutes in good sea conditions
- Our last boat transfer from Semporna to Mabul Island is 1630 hours and first boat departing from the resort is 0630 hours
- It is not advisable to do boat transfers in the dark
